July 30th is United Nations World Day against Trafficking in Persons, established to raise awareness of the plight of human trafficking victims, and promote and protect their rights.
This past month we have coordinated various social media awareness campaigns against Human Trafficking, from Sunday School teachers posting on their networks information, infographics, offering workshops…to students distributing flyers to local businesses… to utilizing our National Sunday School and University Ministry social media networks.
From one of our churches Sunday School groups, they are handing out flyers and wearing the National Human Trafficking hotline # for Argentina on their face mask.
As you know Virginia has been serving on the World Assemblies of God Commission on Sexual Exploitation, Slavery and Trafficking since 2017 and this past June Gilbert was officially invited to serve on this Commission and serve on the Executive Committee.

Prayer Request Update
Update on Gilbert’s Health:
He is doing much better. The doctor said it was a combination of issues that caused him to feel so bad this past week: from very cold weather, not sleeping well increases BP, his diet ( too many salty foods ) to the normal stress of life. All together caused what he was feeling, (headache, feverish with the fever and just tired). The doctor, from Gilbert’s previous studies and blood work, ruled out any serious health issues.
He recommended that Gilbert see an ear, nose and throat doctor to see if there is something that might be causing a blockage and lack of air flow at night and thus lack of proper rest. He has an appointment next Wed. Pray with us that they can find the root cause of his not sleeping well so that he won’t have another episode last this past week.
